Company Profile

Leaderart Industries (M) Sdn. Bhd. was established in 1989 and based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, right next to the logistics hub in Southeast Asia. Sticking to our commitment to product quality and safety, we have expanded to become one of the largest ink marker manufacturers in Southeast Asia over the years. We attribute our remarkable performance to our distinctive culture, which emphasizes continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
 

As a leading manufacturer of quality writing instruments, we specialize in designing and manufacturing ink markers for commercial,  educational, and decorative use. We offer whiteboard markers, permanent markers, watercolor markers, highlighters, and other special ink marker products. We export over 90% of our products to over 60 countries worldwide, including producing for numerous well-known brands.

The second factory, located in VSIP II, Binh Duong Province, Vietnam, was built with an attempt to increase the capacity and to satisfy the higher demands from international customers and local customers in the Vietnamese market.

History

1989-1995

  • Leaderart's history began in 1989, we started the operation by providing a standard children's product - "Fineline Water Color Pen" with approximately 50 employees and 5 machineries.

1996-2000

  • In 1996, Leaderart expanded its product range to office series by introducing whiteboard markers and permanent markers.

  • To keep pace with the increasing demand, Leaderart had undergone the first factory expansion in 1999 to meet the growing number of employees and machinery.

  • In keeping with our company motto of "Striving for Excellence, Aiming for Perfection," Leaderart achieved ISO 9001 certification for the quality management system in 2000.

2001-2005

  • In 2002, Leaderart added the third building unit in response to the growing demand for our products. 

  • In line with the desire for continuous development, Leaderart adopted the ERP system in 2004 to manage the data flow efficiently across the company.

2006-2010

  • The ISO 14001:2004 certification was awarded to Leaderart in 2007 as a sign of our commitment to comply with environmental laws and to adopt green technologies and practices.

2011-2015

  • Leaderart was successfully awarded ISO 9001-2015 certification for our quality management system and will continuously focus on improving and updating the quality management system from time to time.

2016-2020

  • In 2019, Leaderart began operations on a new plant in Vietnam to double the production capacity and to shorten the lead times for our valued customers. 

  • Solar panels were used to generate clean energy as part of Leaderart's project in keeping with environmental awareness. It will generate renewable energy in order to manufacture more environmentally friendly coloring markers and reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases.

2021-current

  • Leaderart has approximately 700 employees and 350 types of machinery, including mixing, injection, assembling, printing, packing, etc., producing over 60 types of ink markers.

  • Our factory occupies a total area of about 580,000 sqft and our products are being exported to more than 60 countries.
